For 3 intense days, we will bring you close to all the big game in one of the richest eco-systems in the region. The Masai Mara is known as the home of Africa’s “Big Five” – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino. But it is also home to the Great Migration. Picture thousands of wildebeests and zebras, crossing into the park on their yearly trek – a veritable train of wildlife herding over the hills, brushing past the acacia trees, on their search for sustenance.
As they march on, their natural predators stalk them in the dramatic ebb and flow of the natural world. It is a sight you won’t soon forget.
On your tour, you’ll have time for some optional discoveries as well – experience a cultural encounter with the Maasai people in their nearby village. Take a hot air balloon safari over the park for a truly amazing perspective.

Masai Mara Tour Itinerary
8:00 With your group ready to go in your 4 x 4 Safari Jeep we’ll head for the park, passing the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Along our route, we’ll enjoy some rest stops and take in the imposing scenery.
We’ll be heading into Masai country and you may spot herdsmen wrapped in their colorful shukas, as we near the reserve.
We should get to the park around lunchtime. You’ll freshen up and have lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp.
Then, we’ll go for the first of many game drives over the next 3 days. Your driver/guide will share his knowledge of this beautiful land and the variety of wildlife you’re sure to encounter.
If you have any special requests, areas, or wildlife you’d like to see, be sure and let him know.
Later, you’ll return to your accommodation to enjoy dinner and relax from the day’s adventures.
We’ll be tracking the big cats along with elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and the other 95 mammals found in this world-famous park.
If you’re here during the Great Migration (July – October), you’ll encounter the most fantastic movement of animals on our planet. Thousands of zebra, gazelle, and wildebeest cross into the park over the Mara River on their timeless parade searching for taller grasses to consume.
The river is also home to pods of hippos and waiting crocodiles, eyeing the vast herds crossing into their territory.
If you would like to add a cultural aspect to your Masai Mara safari, tell your driver/guide to arrange a visit with the Maasai people in their local village. This optional experience will allow you to learn about these native people and see their homes up close.
For the most unique safari experience in the world, sign up for the optional early morning hot air balloon ride over the Mara. Watch the rising sun break over the park, lighting up the fields and the wildlife below. Your driver/guide can make all the arrangements.
We’ll stop for lunch on the way to the city, along with other rest stops.
The drive will give you plenty of time to dwell on and talk about your 3 days of Masai Mara adventure.
We will be back in Nairobi in the late afternoon and bring you to your hotel, the airport, or place of your choosing.
