Nairobi Tour Overview

Ol Pejeta itinerary
We’ll pick you up before dawn (5:00 am) for your journey to Ol Pejeta. The African sunrise on the passing fields and coffee plantations will show off their colors in the easy morning light. If the cloud cover is sparse, we may also enjoy the snow-capped peak of Mt. Kenya on our drive. We’ll stop for a special moment to mark our equator crossing, from southern to northern hemisphere. And, we’ll make a breakfast stop to get you fueled for the day.

There’s so much to look forward to at this busy sanctuary – we already mentioned the big cats and the chimps but keep an eye out for other wildlife like giraffe, baboon, impala, zebra, and the little dik-dik, that got its name from the unusual sound it makes.

Nairobi Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Ol Pejeta Sanctuary Safari 220 km – 3-4 hr. drive

5:00 am – Be ready for your Africa Kenya Safari driver/guide who will pick you up in your safari Jeep at your hotel or place of your choosing.

We’ll head out on a pretty morning drive passing Mt. Kenya as well as coffee and tea plantations. We may pause to view them along with a breakfast stop. We’ll also mark the moment we cross the equator.

Coming to the park, we’ll take our first game drive and visit the chimpanzee sanctuary and then later, the rhino protected area.

Lunch is up next and then we’ll safari up for more game viewing.

Throughout the day on our game drives, we’ll be tracking for lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, hyena, and much more.

We’ll head back to Nairobi in the late afternoon, returning about 6:30 pm.
